In the past few years, Since the evolution of Android, There has been a number of devices launched by different brands. Some of them ruled the market for a few months to few years due to the features and design of the model. However, in the last couple of years, the competition has been tougher as there are a number of new companies who have entered the field and launched some of the beautiful devices. Due to the features which are usually availed by the known brands in their premium devices only, they were costly, but now with these new brands, one can get the same features in the limited budget also. Xiaomi is all about fitting one's needs as well as the budget. It has a proven track record already when it comes to providing quality in the best possible range. The design of the Xiaomi Mi5C rests on its 144.3 mm height and 69.6 mm width. This is rounded off very well by a 7.0 mm thickness giving the piece an overall stylish and sleek look. The weight too can be claimed as a good one with 135 grams. The build material used for the design of this phone is metal for the case as well as the back. One can choose a colour variant between Black and Rose Gold which are available options for this device.

For the display, the XiaomiMi 5C flaunts a 5.15-inch (13.08 cm) full HD 1,080p display. The pixel density is best in class at 428 ppi, and the display type is IPS LCD. The capacitive touchscreen responds well to multi-touch.  Hence, for the user,s who love to have a standard device with quality features, this can be a very right choice as it has almost all the features of a premium device.

Performance and Storage:
The performance of the phone relies on a Xiaomi Surge S1 chipset on which is nestled an octa-core processor of 1.4GHz. The architecture is 64 bit whereas the graphics is taken care of by Mali-T860 MP4. The 3GB RAM makes the phone’s performance swift and smooth. It also ensures an enriching experience during high-end gaming and while switching between multiple apps at the same time.

For data saving, the phone comes with a 64GB internal memory. However, the flipside to the device is that it has no provision for an extendable memory. Hence, for the user, it is an easy to use the device with excellent performance.

Camera and Battery:
The phone is house to a 12MP primary camera with a CMOS image sensor and autofocus feature. The aperture stands at 2.2 F, and there is no optical image stabilization. The LED flash featured camera captures beautiful and clear images at 4000x 3000 pixels and records videos at 1920x1080 @ 30 fps. Other camera features include Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection and Touch to focus. The shooting modes it facilitates are Continuous Shooting and HDR (High Dynamic Range).

All selfie lovers can now rejoice as, with this device's 8MP front camera, one can capture beautiful memories even on the selfie mode. High-quality video calls too can be made using the front camera.

The phone draws its power from 2860 mAh Li-Polymer battery which lasts for a full day under normal usage. The battery is non-replaceable. The best feature of this battery is that it charges up pretty quickly.  The users who love to have selfie frequently or shoot various moments with easy access this can be a perfect device. The quality of the images as well as video shooting it is a much helpful device.

Network and Connectivity:
The SIM slots support Nano SIM sizes and the connectivity supported on both is 4G, 3G and 2G networks of Indian bands. It is well-suited with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity as well as dual SIM. Both SIM can draw their connectivity from GPRS as well as EDGE.

Other connectivity options available are Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with A-GPS and Glonass. It does not have NFC and has the USB Type-C does not support micro-USB. Though there are plenty of options for sound connectivity, the absence of NFC can make a little dissatisfaction among the users who love to gadgets. The Bluetooth can help one get a faster transfer of the data in different forms.

Verdict:
In such a range and with such features, the phone seems to be worth the investment. The downside to it is that it has an average internal storage and doesn't provide expandable memory either. Another negative point to this phone is that the battery is a non-removable one. Though the battery is known for its long working, yet it can be difficult if the phone gets hang at any stage. The quality lovers of mobiles prefer to go for a device that can offer easy navigation, and this device has it as one of the positives.
